Blogging is not about an author talking to a crowd, it`s about sharing ideas: with blog readers and other blog authors. Thus while your blogger`s voice is not strong enough to be heard, you need to take effort to build relations with other bloggers to draw their attention,  attract their audience, and start information exchange.

One of the most effective ways to build connections is to give feedback. Let`s face it, everyone wants to hear what others think about their work.  Bloggers usually write on topics they are really interested in and they spend hours to research each topic and share it with their audience yes, they are eager to hear honest, constructive feedback that will help them continue blogging. So if you are good at giving feedback, you will soon get noticed in the blogosphere and find many friends and partners who will help you promote your site.

So what are some working tactics to help you? Do:

  • add relevant information (probably what`s missing in the post);
  •
  • give an idea on how the post can be further developed (active bloggers who post daily are in great need of new fresh ideas and inspiration; so if you help them with that you are sure to be highly appreciated);
  •
  • add your own examples to show your niche expertise: the best way to attract experienced bloggers` attention is to look like a person who either have a lot of knowledge on the subject or is keen to learn

Don`t:

  • add poorly grounded criticism for the sake of getting noticed remember, bloggers usually seek constructive criticism that will help them improve their blogs or learn something new; criticism for the sake of attracting attention will only cause irritation;
  •
  • say you already covered this topic a while ago (with the link back to your post) by this you emphasize there is nothing new / valuable in the blogger`s article and risk offending him. Instead, stress how the blogger`s post looked at different angle than yours and how you both contributed to the topic in two different ways.

How to give a feedback? Well, any medium will do. Leave a comment (bloggers love well structured wise comments), drop a message via email or your common social community (that`s great if you and the blogger are friends at some social media site this will add the feeling of intimacy and your feedback is unlikely to be left without attention).

Ann, your put is more smart than smarty. I couldn't agree more. One item I might add to enhance the feedback experience is to include URLs in your comment feedback that expands the experience on the topic. I could go on, but I think you can see the advantage.

I started my blog three weeks ago. since then I stumble a great deal, link to those blogs that have value and comment on most any post that I feel I may have something to offer. In these few short weeks, I already have networked other bloggers and made a few blogging friends. Your words and advice could not be more true. Thanks for the great post.
