Covering The Basics
Tune into the conversations, meet people,
offer something of value to the blogosphere, discover new sites and blog
networks.
Does any of this make sense to you? If not, don`t worry you`re in the right place.
Here
at Bloghology, we will help you to learn the basics of blogging and
exactly how to build your on line social media presence.
Do you
know how many different social sites there are out there? Too many if
you ask me! You`re not alone if you`re feeling overwhelmed by the vast
landscape of social networking sites.
I find it helpful and time
saving to focus on what will be your top and most active social media
sites. For me, I narrow it down to about five sites: Facebook, Twitter,
Stumble Upon, Digg and Plurk.
Realistically, attempting to be
active in social sites beyond what you`re able to handle will only
waste your time. To each its own, if you have a plan or system in place
maybe you can do a better job at maintaining multiple social sites.
It`s
okay if you realize that a specific social site may not be worth your
time. There are plenty of pockets, on line communities and niches out
there to be discovered.
That`s apart of the job, get out there,
find out who`s who and what these people are saying about your topic.
Don`t assume your thoughts or perspective is new because chances are
someone probably thought it before you.
If you have been blogging and active on various social sites, you`ve most likely already heard the phrase content is king.
Yeah,
content is king, like so many like to say but there are tons of well
written blog post that go unnoticed because there`s more to it than
content.
Content is significant but it`s not the be all to end
all. Creating a blog people want to read is essential; important
factors to consider: marketing, site design, knowing your audience and
so forth.
Remember, you`re in the right place! Stay tuned for
articles offering practical, sensible advice for building a blog people
will want to read.
