How to figure out what it takes to become one of those ‘A bloggers’, who so successfully leverage their blogs and who so cleverly comprehend the scale of opportunities, the infinite possibilities that blogging offers?

During the near two years that I have been part of the blogging world to develop a blog that eventually could promote our online Life Leverage courses, these questions have come up time and time again and have preoccupied my mind a lot.

I couldn’t help myself.
With a degree in psychology, specializing in career development, it is no wonder that the phenomenon of ‘A bloggers’ fascinated me no end.
The endless supply of blogs about blogging all cover the technical side of blogging were interesting and helpful, but I was interested in another tool and that is the ‘A bloggers’ themselves.

What talents, attributes, personality traits, skills and beliefs are part of the personal tool kit of the ‘A bloggers’ to make them so effective in what they do?

That is what I want to know.

I can learn all the technical things or source them out, but that hasn’t until now made me one of the ‘A bloggers’!

There is more to it than just knowing about copywriting, SEO and affiliate marketing.

Two years of pondering, observing, reflecting on my own actions have resulted in some interesting conclusions. .

Although there is much more that I have found out, I have selected this point to start with.

Audacity and lack of conventional constraints are ‘A bloggers’ main attributes.

In the first magazine of bloghology, Stephan Miller talks about being perfect and recognizes that he is beating himself up when by writing his article he forgoes posting on his own blog. He then deals with it by standing behind his choice that the article is a priority and that missing a blog posting is not the end of the world.
He then doesn’t waste any more time on emotions and gets on with the next thing.

This is one example of ‘A bloggers’ time management.

They don’t waste time dealing with emotions after a decision is being made, they know it not a good use of their time.
Regret, guilt, beating oneself up are time wasters and constraints they can do without.
They clean up and go on.

Skellie of Skellywag in her guestpost ‘Blogging with Audacity’ on Problogger hits the nail on the head when she recognizes that successful ‘A bloggers’ have audacity which is a kind of a lost attribute these days.
Somehow the ‘A bloggers’ have overridden restricting beliefs that you cannot do certain things because it just is not done.

Here are some of the main attributes ‘A bloggers’ have and some constraints that ‘A bloggers’ do not have.

·        ‘A bloggers’ have audacity, this fearless daring, this insolent heedlessness of constraints and thus they can claim the world.
You can imagine how Columbus could have stopped himself with getting crew and funding for his trips if he was without audacity.
Darren Rowse could have easily chickened out under that ultimatum of having six months to make it.
However as Goethe said; “Boldness has genius in it, begin.”
Most of the time we operate from a linear plan with clear steps that historically have lead to predicted result.
When we want funding from a bank we need to present a plan and they check it on that historically predicted result.
How could ‘A bloggers’ predict results to themselves, their wives or their sponsors without audacity?
To begin and keep going they must have believed in their intention, in their desire and with that they are the masters of manifestation, somehow their audacity had them come up the secret by themselves while we had to rely on the movie “The Secret” to show it to us.

·        Rich Schefren knows about constraints and explains it extensively in his report “Uncertainty Syndrome”.
When you look closely at ‘A bloggers’, you might notice they let hardly any constraints stopping them.
They don’t need drama in their life, they don’t play victim, they don’t invent obstacles, they deal with problems when they arrive.
That is a very unusual attribute and crucial to people who dare to walk unbeaten paths and who want to end up with a remarkable result.

·        Most ‘A bloggers’ are being strategic and that helps them to see the bigger picture and not getting lost in detail and that vast cyberspace.
They need to see the lay of the land once having established their niche and they need to establish who to affiliate with. This is a skill a good military leader has, a good CEO and as ‘A bloggers’ are the head of their own empire having that skill will help enormously.
I don’t have it, but luckily my partner has and I can see the difference strategic thinking makes.

·        Understanding the value of systems and knowing when enough is enough.
‘A bloggers’ are becoming aware of the priorities in life, at work and at home and aim not to live in overwhelm, stress and scarcity.
Conventional main stream thinking mostly regards systems at work as unnecessary limiting nuisances, developed by the company to keep us in line and make life hard.
Most systems deserve that image, however when a system is developed for the right reason with innovative and practical thinking, systems can serve us hugely.
‘A bloggers’ know that they don’t have to flog themselves to death; they advocate thinking business systems that work for you rather than working hard on your blog as in having a job.
Tim Ferris promotes that knowing about when ‘enough is enough’ and having systems working for you is the clue to a great life.
‘A bloggers’ might become a new breed of people who know how to enjoy life and what is important in life.
They don’t go for working hard, ego driven materialistic success, but enjoyment, time abundance with family, life partners and friends and they are willing to share as they know about abundance.

·        When talking to ‘A bloggers’ I think we would be stunned by their ability to override their belief systems.  As they are human I am sure they have the same constraining beliefs but somehow they can talk themselves into doing things even if their belief systems said they can’t.
They do ask, they do make mistakes and then clean up, they do connect with people they don’t know and admire, they do boldly things without being certain where they are going or if it will work.

As you can see there are some significant differences in how ‘A bloggers’ operate in the world.

If Yaro Starak had his butt kicked to change his ways and got such results, who are we not to follow in his footsteps.
